What is up for today?

Thanks.. I went to my friend Kats last night.. we had martini's in honor of our friend VK.. and looked through pictures of when we were all spending time together.. she will definately be missed..

Sad thing is I emailed another old friend.. one who I shouldn't be speaking with because of leaving the JWs (she is still one) last night to let her know our old friend had died.. she emailed me back to tell me this morning that another friend of ours, her youngest daughter was in a car accident Sunday and died.. so sad.. she was in her mid 20s..

oh wow that really is sad. I'm sorry you're dealing with so many deaths right now .... especially ones you can't have full closure with since you're not supposed to be speaking with the families and stuff. :hug:

that is for sure..

its just a reminder though how short life is.. and to contact those we love

Hi there, I know only Juls knows me .... but I was friends with her when she was a jw and I knew VK, too.... very sad that it ended this way.

Jack and I went out for a nice dinner tonight.. My boss had given me a gift certificate for a nice restaurant.. it was nice.. we really enjoyed ourselves..

oh.. it was just I had found an old friend .. my old best friend when I was a Jehovah's Witness. I have missed her so much.. we were always like Thelma and Louise.. so to speak.. and I was thrilled when she was ok to be talking to me again.. (she isnt' supposed to because when you are no longer a Jehovah's Witness, they are not supposed to talk to you).. but she hasnt' attended / been active I guess in a year and half she admitted.. so for the week we emailed back and forth.. We were even planning a trip to Vegas to catch up.. I can't tell you how happy I have been.. You would think I had just met a guy and we were in thet first infactuation phase where you are thrilled with every email.. Well.. she changed her mind the day before I wrote that. Decided since she plans to go back eventually and she feels (like all JWs do) that everyone who isn't a JW will die at judgement day (which they all think is around the corner).. well she said it is too hard being close to me again knowing I am just going to die...

I cried all that day. It was as if she died..

Then when I couldn't feel like the day sucked enough, there was a huge blow out with my kids. Really having trouble with them right now...


but I've gotten past that day.. accepted my friends decision and hey.. you move on in lfe..

my boys.. well their judgement day is coming. Either they start showing some appreciation and respect around here or they are going to have to move out!

oh wow... i remember what you had said about your friend but I didn't realize that your kids were being so unappreciative again. I thought things were going better. :hug: I'm sorry Sassy... but you can't let them treat you like a doormat. They are grown now and they have to face some consequences.

Some days are better than others.... its ok.. what in life doesn't tear us down, makes us stronger...

Well this turned out to be a pretty unproductive weekend...

I raced out of work Friday for a dentist appointment I thought I had.. even took my valium pill that I take when I go there a half hour before my son drove me in (he even got off work early so he could do this!).. I get to the dentist and turns out my appointment is THIS Friday.. not last.. so I had a buz going on for nothing...

and not the kind I like..

so that kind of blew Friday away..

then some time Friday night my internet and satalite went down... one doesn't realize how much you use either until you can't have either...

then my washer broke Friday too... Saturday they sent service over to repair but they couldn't.. promised me a replacement on Sunday to which they never came! ugggghhhhh

and on top of it Jack was sick as a dog.. high fever.. miserable.. i've never seen him so sick ever.. so I was taking care of him and hoping to hope that I don't catch it.. I REALLY do not want it~!~

I've got a co worker who just came back from New Zealand.. isn't that were you are from Celia? She absolutely loved it.. spent three weeks there and is seriously contemplating a total life change.. and perhaps a move there.. she met a guy while there too, although he isn't the reason she is wanting to go back.. she says that is the bonus..

I really hate to lose her cuz I love working with her.. but.. I sure would love her to have whatever it is she wants in life..

Well I have Friday off.... turns out Mattel was listed FORTUNE Magazine’s 2008 “100 Best Companies to Work For” list and to celebrate they are giving us Friday off...

on the more negative note, my bosses boss asked why there was so much overtime in our group for the budget last year. So my boss asked me to find out where it all was.. I knew where most of it was,.. ME.... and a few in our documentation group. Turned out I had the highest amount of hours.. over 250 OT last year.. the next person under me had 80.. and the next after that 60... so... it will be me I am sure that gets told... NO MORE OT..

This is a new SVP we report to in the past 6 months.. he is way tighter with money..and I am sure with all the recalls last year they all need to be..

but just the same this is going to very much hit my checkbook...

sigh...

Wow.. I do believe that an employee has been flirting with me on email...

I swear it is only one sided! I set up registration access for one of our intranet sites and I have to contact them via email to let them know they are accepted, not allowed, etc... Any way this guy starts emailing me and asking me questions.. like can I help train him on the site (I had already informed in him the first acceptance email who would be doing any training if needed).. and then he says.. or we could just walk to starbucks for pie and coffee instead..
